This rarely found Maranta is prized for its unusual green and yellow foliage with classic herringbone patterned leaves. The plant gets its common name from the fact that its leaves stay flat in the day and fold up like praying hands at night.

 

Prefers bright, indirect sunlight. Water frequently in the growing season and when the top of the soil is getting dry to touch. Mist to increase humidity.

 

How to care for your maranta

 

Water

Water once a week from the bottom of the plant if it has drainage holes, and allow the soil to dry out before watering again

 

Light:

Maranta grow best in bright light, but will tolerate shade.

 

Humidity:

Allow regular humidity levels.

 

Temperature

They enjoy warmth, about 20 degrees C.
